Job Description
The Opportunity:
Mattel Tax is seeking a Transfer Pricing Manager to join the Mattel Transfer Pricing team within the Tax Department. This position will report to Senior Director Tax – Transfer Pricing and work closely with other members of the transfer pricing team. The successful candidate will also work with various business groups within the Company, third party service providers, and other Tax Department professionals in carrying out his or her responsibilities.
What Your Impact Will Be:
Responsible for managing all aspects of transfer pricing documentations within Mattel. This includes the global master files as well as local files in various jurisdictions. Your responsibilities include providing data to outside consultants needed for drafting the reports, reviewing and providing comments for the reports prepared by outside consultants and assisting local affiliates with local files as needed to ensure timely completion of all documentations.
Responsible for transfer pricing analysis for quarterly and year end provision.
Manage transfer pricing projects with tax advisors involving tax compliance, tax controversy, and tax planning.
Work closely with the Mattel Legal team to draft and review intercompany agreements to ensure that all intercompany transactions are supported by appropriate agreements.
Participate in tax planning projects involving Tax Department colleagues supporting Domestic and International taxes and assist in identifying and resolving transfer pricing related issues.
Work with business units and other finance team members providing advice in response to business’ requests or business/operational/structural changes.
Support global transfer pricing audits and draft FIN 48 support documents.
Be able to proactively identify transfer pricing issues due to regulatory changes, such as new tax laws and global tax (i.E. OECD) guidelines.
Assist the Senior Director – Transfer Pricing in setting, maintaining, and documenting Mattel global transfer pricing policies.
Perform economic analyses to help support Mattel’s transfer pricing positions.
