In Learning Services, we have a direct impact on our employees, our partners, our customers, and the business by providing product, business process, and skills training for audiences around the globe, from colleagues to partners to client end-users.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced US regional senior trainer to join our dynamic team. You will play a critical role in empowering our employees, clients, and partners to maximize their potential by providing comprehensive training on our software products. Your expertise in software applications and training methodologies will help bridge the gap between technology and users, ensuring effective utilization of our software solutions. You will wear many hats as you transfer knowledge via training and related activities.
Responsibilities
Product Expertise:
Learn our products and gain the expertise needed to train customers, partners, and internal staff.
Keep abreast of new software features and updates.
Learn our training methodology and how to deliver our training material.
Understand the services model and where training fits into it.
Answer learner questions through the University e-learning courses or live classes.
Training Preparation and LMS:
Maintain our environment to offer hands-on during live/virtual classes.
Communicate effectively with the LMS administrator, clients, partners, and internal managers to coordinate training sessions and agendas, helping with testing in the LMS system.
Work with the LMS administrator to set up courses and confirm attendees.
Perform LMS feature research and recommend features to use.
Create customized training programs tailored to different user levels and roles, if required.
If travel is involved, coordinate details with the client or appropriate contact.
If training in a client’s environment, review their setup and plan the data needed for the training. If training in our training environment, prepare for user logins and class data.
Training Delivery:
Present the training sessions, traveling to customer sites if required.
Present regular internal sessions to share product information and strengthen internal skillsets.
Be a University Expert, helping certify learners who are going through our certification process
Ensure training sessions are informative, interactive, and results-oriented.
Use technology such as polls or online quizzing to ensure interactivity and knowledge retention.
Adapt training methods to accommodate various learning styles and skill levels.
Live/Virtual Training Assessment and Feedback:
Evaluate trainee progress and comprehension through quizzes, practical exercises, and feedback during live and virtual sessions.
Review survey evaluations for your products to suggest course improvements.
Instructional Design:
Assist with Design
Design course and lesson outlines using adult learning principles, keeping a relatable “story” in mind
Design each lesson and identify data to be added to the system to accomplish the lesson
Write clearly and concisely, in a consistent style and in compliance to our standards, effectively conveying the features of the system to the learner
Create certification and knowledge check questions as a guide to ensure the lessons teach what needs to be learned
Assist with Development
Script the lessons and capture simulations using Captivate
Add slide notes and add captions in practices
Review for quality and standards, and proper English grammar and punctuation
Develop vILT/ILT instructor guides as needed
Store source and output files on SharePoint, taking care to name them properly
Keep the content current with new releases;
define new topics to beincorporated
Create “What’s New” material
Professional Development:
Stay current on product enhancements and releases
Attend courses to enhance instructional design and trainer skills
Drive excellence within the team by promoting industry-leading practices and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
5+ years of classroom (vILT or ILT) experience training users on software
5+ years’ experience working in software companies, understanding the development life cycle and software development lingo and able to collaborate and communicate with product developers.
5+ years working with the ADDIE model and Adult Learning Principles.
Fluent in English
Ability to travel to present training
Experience in Life Sciences, in the area of validation
Experience creating well-received course agendas and course delivery feedback
Strong Instructional Design skills, including mind-mapping skills, writing “stories”, design learning flow, creating storyboards
A passionate, skilled, natural teacher;
highly engaging, patient and committed
Ability to engage the audience and tailor your delivery to their unique needs, enabling optimal engagement and learning retention
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong time management and organizational skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities

How We Work
Our Tampa office is hybrid. We believe that in-person interaction and collaboration foster creativity, and a sense of community, and is critical to our future success as a company. Our hybrid schedule is 3 days per week, within a reasonable commuting distance to our Tampa office.
