Looking for meaningful work, great benefits, and a place to belong? As a Tissue Donation Coordinator, the work you do will help guide donor families through the tissue donation process that can lead to impacting countless individuals.
Tissue donations are pivotal in helping children who require heart valve transplants lead full and healthy lives, breast cancer survivors in need of mastectomy surgeries feel whole again, restoring sight to those who suffer from corneal blindness, and so many others.
What You’ll Do:
Handle incoming donor referral calls from hospital staff and clinical partners to obtainand evaluate medical information regarding potential tissue donor suitability
Work empathetically and compassionately with potential donor families to advocate for donation, conduct history questionnaires, and obtain informed consent to donation
Coordinate logistics of tissue recoveries with both internal and external partners and stakeholders
Follow best practices and provide exemplary customer service while communicating with teammates, partners, and stakeholders including Hospital staff, Clinical partners, Funeral Homes, Medical Examiners, District Attorneys, and others.
What You’ll Work:
Three 12-hour shifts per week
One 12-hour on-call shift every 2 weeks
A variety of Day, Mid, and Night shifts
Shifts you select in our collaborative self-scheduling model
Shifts in person and remote in our fully hybrid staffing model
Shifts that support our 24-hour, 365-day a year mission including weekends and holidays
