Tax Accountant

Position Overview:
Stardom Employment Consultantsare looking for a highly skilled Tax Accountant to manage our client's company's tax reporting and compliance within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax accounting, excellent analytical skills, and a deep understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the company's financial health and ensure compliance with all tax-related matters.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations
Conduct tax research and analysis to support tax planning and strategy
Maintain and update tax records and documentation for audit purposes
Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions and financial statement disclosures
Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors to manage tax audits and resolve any issues
Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate their impact to management
Support the accounting team with month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries
Develop and implement tax-saving strategies and best practices to optimize the company's tax position
Provide guidance and support to other departments on tax-related matters
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA certification is required
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably within a corporate environment
In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.G., ProSystem fx, UltraTax, etc.) and Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
