IAV is currently seeking Systems Engineers Vehicle Architecture at our North American Headquarters in Northville, Michigan.
The number of vehicle functions and their level of connectivity is growing steadily. This is primarily driven by factors such as e-mobility, autonomous driving, digitalization and regulations such as UNECE. This rapid change also poses major challenges for the automotive industry.
Essential Responsibilities &
Activities:

Launch of systems, subsystems, technology carriers and prototypes:
Implementation of software and configuration updates.
Analysis of bus systems (CAN/LIN/Ethernet).
Evaluation of measurement and diagnostic data.
Error analysis based on measurement tests and technical documentation.
Creation of functional, commissioning and installation descriptions .
Other general tasks are:
Support planning and execution of engineering activities as directed by supervisor or senior team members.
Support customer meetings.
Support business and strategic company development opportunities.
Demonstrate a willingness to learn and build technical knowledge and ability.
Travel for purposes of test trips, training, or meetings, possibly outside the country for up to several months.
All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years relevant experience.
Must be able to work effectively with customers and other program staff and team members.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to complete project goals.
Must be able to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple duties/projects simultaneously.
Good knowledge about different vehicle architectures (ICE, Hybrid, EV), error analysis and fixing.
Excellent problem-solving skills and time management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
Must have excellent written communication skills.
Must have knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the automotive industry.
You will be working in a highly motivated team on demanding and trend-setting assignments with a great deal of scope for your ideas.
