Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Swiss CNC Machine Programmer with specialized experience in Citizen or Star machinery to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating Swiss CNC machines to produce high-precision components. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our production efficiency and product quality.
Responsibilities:
Programming:
Develop CNC programs using CAM software (such as Esprit, Mastercam, or equivalent) to efficiently produce complex parts on Citizen or Star Swiss CNC machines.
Setup:
Set up machines according to job specifications, including loading materials, selecting appropriate tools, and configuring machine settings for optimal performance.
Operation:
Operate Swiss CNC machines during production runs, monitoring performance and making necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
Tooling Selection:
Select and install cutting tools, collets, and other tooling components based on job requirements and material specifications.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.) to verify part dimensions and adherence to quality standards.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve machining issues, such as tool wear, chip buildup, or programming errors, to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including setup sheets, tooling lists, and inspection reports, to facilitate traceability and process improvement.
Collaboration:
Work closely with production supervisors, machinists, and quality control personnel to optimize processes, troubleshoot problems, and ensure timely completion of orders.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements, including machine guarding, PPE usage, and proper handling of hazardous materials.
Requirements:
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in CNC programming, setup, and operation, with a focus on Swiss-type turning machines (Citizen or Star preferred).
Experience:
Minimum of [X] years of experience programming and operating Swiss CNC machines in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of producing high-quality components.
Software Proficiency:
Familiarity with CAM software for CNC programming (Esprit, Mastercam, etc.) and CAD software for part modeling and design.
Mechanical Aptitude:
Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, and metal cutting techniques, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize machining processes.

T symbols, and other technical specifications accurately.

Effective problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve machining issues quickly and efficiently, minimizing production disruptions.
Teamwork:
Collaborative attitude with excellent communication skills, able to work effectively within a team environment and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required;
additional technical training or certifications in CNC machining or related fields preferred.
Physical Requirements:
