Responsibilities

Work with PD Blower, Blower Package and Vacuum Package product lines to improve design, performance, and/or manufacturing process.
Provide technical guidance to team members including Sourcing, Operations, Customer Service, and Marketing with respect to product-based education and decisions.
Produce cost effective designs, complex layouts assemblies, detail parts drawings, and generate associated bills of materials.
Work closely with Customer Service, Field Service, and/or Manufacturing personnel to resolve issues regarding legacy and new products currently in production.
Available for hands-on troubleshooting in the manufacturing plant on short notice.
Evaluate existing products based on feedback from manufacturing, quality, or assembly to assess functionality and determine product effectiveness for customers.
Support Engineering efforts on critical projects which includes idea development, prototype, project execution, and plant/business system implementation.
Collect product data via reports, manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
Work with team to standardize product offering through product rationalization and new product development.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or other related engineering discipline.
Experience with rotating machinery is preferred
Must have excellent mechanical skills and knowledge of good assembly and testing practices.
Must be capable to work safely in a fast paced, creative, results-oriented atmosphere.
Strong collaboration and problem solving skills with cross functional team.
Experience in 3D modeling software preferred (i.E. Solidworks, Inventor, and/or PTC Creo).
Analytical skills with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Must demonstrate a team work ethic and a consistently positive attitude.

Travel &
Work Arrangements/Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Work environment includes inside and outside of an office environment.
Ability to communicate information effectively in person and via remote conference calls
Minimal travel required between other Ingersoll Rand locations such as Springfield MO, Quincy IL, and Bentleyville PA (

Ownership Works Grant:
When you have reached your one-year service anniversary with Ingersoll Rand, you will become eligible to receive a grant of restricted stock units (“RSUs”) that will equal 10% of your annual base salary in grant date value. The actual grant will take place either in the quarter of eligibility or the following quarter based on specified grant schedules. The RSUs will vest two years from the date of grant.
