Position Title:
Summer Camp Leader @ Francis Scott Key Elementary
We are currently seeking committed and passionate Summer Camp Program Instructors &
Leaders to lead academics, and physical activities for our summer camp at Francis Scott Key Elementary for our Summer Program. Program Instructors &
Leaders must be able towork with up to 20 youths during camp hours Monday through Friday. Our ideal Camp Leader will have a strong dedication to youth development, sense of creativity and enthusiasm, and have a commitment to and strong belief in BACR’s Mission, Organizational Values and Best Practices.

Pay rate:
$24-$26 an hour DOE

Requirements
Ability to work every day during program hours and commit to all required dates, June 5th - July 24th
Must have an Associate Degree or higher, or 48 or more college units, or pass the Instructional Aide exam (facilitated by BACR)
Must have experience working with middle school youth and general knowledge base of core elementary and middle school subjects
Must be able to communicate openly in a professional manner with students, parents, community partners, and after-school and school day-staff
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
Must possess strong classroom and behavioral management skills
Must pass a criminal background check and TB test clearance
If selected to be interviewed, you must bring the following items to your interview:
Proof of TB test Clearance
Proof of an Associate Degree or higher, or 48 or more college units, or pass the Instructional Aide exam
A completed BACR Application Form

Three professional references
Responsibilities:
Facilitate and plan academic skill-building activities based on students' skill level and state educational standards
Give and clearly explain instructions for the assignments given
Write lesson plans, use learning targets and instructional strategies
Create, plan, and facilitate engaging enrichment and physical activities for students
Support students in developing the skills they need to be successful in school and life
Promote a safe and positive classroom environment
Actively supervise and ensure student safety at all times
Model positive and proactive attitudes, behaviors, and language
Communicate regularly with the coordinator to ensure consistency
Communicate to parents about student progress and behavior
Ensure that all school space and equipment is left clean and orderly
Maintain appropriate, professional and kid-friendly speech, behavior and attire all times
Attend and participate in all staff meetings and ongoing trainings

Above is the pay range for this position that we reasonably expect to pay. Individual compensation is based on various factors including experience/education, skillset, and geographic location.
