Subsurface Utility Engineering (Sue) Field Technician Lli

Our partner is seeking a Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Field Technician III in Huntington Beach, CA. This role involves guiding and leading daily field crew operations to ensure comprehensive and accurate utility mapping.
Responsibilities
Operate SUE utility locating and designating equipment in complex utility infrastructure environments
Complete detailed and accurate daily reports, forms, and field sketches electronically and by hand
Supervise daily SUE field crew activities and train other crew members
Represent and communicate with clients, sub-contractors, and third parties during field activities
Maintain, clean, and operate vehicles, equipment, tools, and supplies
Facilitate daily Tailgate Safety Meetings
Perform daily Job Hazard Analysis with crew members
Drive commercial motor vehicles (CDL license not required)
Direct safety set-up for proper maintenance of traffic signage
Complete monthly equipment inventory for supervisor reorder
Requirements
High School Diploma / GED
2+ years experience as a SUE Field Technician II
Ability to read and interpret utility company prints and design plans
Good oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
Valid driver's license with good driving record
Ability to secure client-required identity verification (e.G., TWIC, SWAC)
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical (U.S. only)
Ability to obtain a DOT medical card for CMV operation (U.S. only)
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks necessary to operate heavy tools and equipment
Ability to work outdoors in all climates
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including up to 2-week continuous stays
OSHA Safety certifications are a plus
