### Job Description
Seeking Substation engineer due to continued growth, our Electric Grid Infrastructure Services business unit is seeking experienced Lead Substation Engineers both physical and P&
C. This position offers you the opportunity to work in a project team environment with other engineers and designers involved in the detailed electrical design and project management of distribution and transmission substation projects. As a Substation Engineer, you will take an active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and project execution. You will work on challenging assignments that include investigating, trouble-shooting, and solving a wide variety of electrical engineering and design issues.
- Typical deliverables include:

- Facility Studies
- General Arrangement
- Equipment Plans and Sections
- Foundation Plans
- Grounding and Conduit Plans
- Equipment Connection Details
- Control Building Plans and Sections

In addition, you may have the opportunity to travel to client sites as needed.
Ability to prepare substation grounding calculations, direct stroke shielding calculations, battery &
charger sizing calculation A BSEE degree from an ABET-accredited electrical engineering program.
3-8+ years or more years experience in the physical layout and design of Transmission and Distribution Substations.
Knowledge of physical design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and 3D models.
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including the ability to relate various equipment to a technical design.

Industrial Engineer

Description:
This Continuous Improvement Specialist/Engineer will be focusing their efforts on waste reduction, scrap/time reduction, Process/continuous improvements, value stream mapping and optimization, SOP/work instructions, etc. There will be a lot of root cause analysis to figure out what changes and improvements need to be made. They will need to investigate the issue throughout the process. This person will also be in charge of process improvement/continuous improvement projects, as well as new process implementation. This will be through a lot of data collection, root cause analyses, and failure modes (PFMEA). They will directly work with the Process engineers, supervisors, operators, assemblers, production, quality teams, and vendors. Will also help establish processes, SOP/Work Instructions for when they have new product launches. Focus on Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma events for plant 1 which is their manual assembly facility. 70-80% of their time will be on the floor problem-solving, investigation, troubleshoot, put out fires, researching/implementing the processes, and then implement their projects 20-30% of their time will be in the office doing flow, value stream, plant layout designs, and project planning and data analysis from their project diagnosis while on the floor.
Additional Skills &
Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology, Data Science, or Supply Chain)
- Industry Experience from industrial equipment, automotive, metals, machining, heavy equipment manufacturing, etc.
- 3+ years of experience of Process or continuous improvement focused experience (examples of time studies, kaizen, process improvement, root cause analysis, lean manufacturing, SOP/work instructions, quality improvements tied to process, supporting assemblers and operators)
- Working knowledge in plant layout design and data management software's (Power BI &
SAP Preferred)

Distribution Engineer

Description:
Individual will be responsible for independently developing design and construction work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systems for electric utility customers. Review work provided by a Client and assess requirements of scopes;
There will be frequent communication with clients possibly in person for meetings (Michigan) and e-mail, teams, phone. Perform engineering calculations such as:
structural analysis for wood pole loading, guying calculations, specifying conductor sags and tensions for recommended spans, and calculation of voltage drop and flicker. Provide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews to ensure all applicable engineering and construction standards have been met. Conduct root cause analysis of outages and mitigation using engineering principles and design. Gain experience in coordinating conflicting utilities and other field engineering design requirements, assessing and developing large design packages for complex cable/conduit projects in dense urban environments, work permit development, easements, and ROW applications.
