Strategic Insights Manager, Washington, DC
The Role:
We are looking for a Strategic Insights Manager (Senior Account Executive level) to join our rapidly growing and cutting-edge Data Intelligence team. This role will be responsible for managing and executing strategic insight scope(s) from brief through deliverable and will work closely with best in class client teams to understand their needs and objectives and develop insights that address these requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of primary research methods, market and/or political research, public affairs analysis, project management skills, analytics reporting, and overall, excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Designing and contributing to a research plan that addresses objectives and answers key questions
Drafting research instruments such as surveys, polls, screeners, discussion guides, and Boolean searches
Managing and executing data gathering and fieldwork, including external vendor management when necessary
Project management of Insights-based projects to ensure timely delivery and coordination with internal and external clients
Formatting, pulling, and analyzing data to draw insights from research findings, filtering the data to support the story
Producing clear and compelling research deliverables such as toplines, reports, visualizations, presentations, and memos of research findings
Serving as a subject matter expert in core methods and tools related to their skillset or specialty area
Directing, contributing to, or executing all Research Analyst competencies as needed
Qualifications (Experience that contributes to your success):
3-5 years of experience primarily in one or more of the following areas:
market research, public opinion polling, or political research;
campaigns/politics;
public policy/affairs;
management consulting;
private sector business, marketing, or public affairs analysis
A demonstrated interested in and aptitude for qualitative and quantitative research
Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills and excellent interpersonal skills
Strong time-management and organizational skills;
the ability to juggle multiple projects
An ability to work well under extreme deadlines and with multiple teams concurrently
Excellent attention to detail
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office systems (particularly PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
A college degree or equivalent preferred
Demonstrated experience with qualitative and quantitative primary research methods, including surveys, in-depth-interviews and focus groups.
