Staff Software Engineer

Job Description
NBCUniversal is seeking a talented and experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our Legal, Privacy, and Sustainability Software Engineering Organization within Corporate Technology.
As the Tech Lead for the Privacy Software Engineering team, you will play a critical role in architecting and developing the Privacy Platform. The platform will be designed to seamlessly integrate with various systems, enabling the stakeholders to efficiently manage privacy and compliance requests while upholding the highest standards of data protection.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of a highly scalable, and resilient integration system using AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit) with TypeScript.
Implement Infrastructure-as-Code and automated release management, ensuring the platform's scalability, and maintainability.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the Privacy Platform adheres to the highest security and compliance standards, safeguarding sensitive data and maintaining regulatory compliance across all processes.
Engage as part of an Agile scrum software development team contributing to scrum ceremonies and collaborating with product owners and other engineers.
Foster a culture of excellence within the development team by championing code quality, performing code review, and adhering to best practices in software engineering.
Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies related to event-driven architectures, workflow automation, and privacy compliance. Proactively propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance the platform's capabilities and adapt to evolving business needs.
Actively contribute to and maintain the project codebase, demonstrating the ability to architect, develop, and enhance complex software solutions.
Work with stakeholders to create technical requirements from business requirements.
Work with the Engineering Manager, Technical Department Lead, and Technical Squad Leads to assess the scope of requested changes.
Oversee technical designs for product-scoped technical requirements that align with Team, Department, and Enterprise Standards.
Oversee code reviews, ensuring that code quality and performance standards are met across all squads.
Provide technical guidance and direction across squads, ensuring alignment with the Technical Department Lead.
Maintain an overview of squads' progress, ensuring that projects are on track and communicating any risks with the Engineering Manager.
Mentor and support Technical Squad Leads and other team members.
