Staff Scientist

Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Multi-disciplinary Engineering firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Staff Scientist in Melville, NY.
Responsibilities:
Perform asbestos, mold and lead surveys on residential and commercial buildings.
Providing project monitoring and air sampling, including compliance with on-site field protocols such as chain of custody forms and daily logs.
Preparing and reviewing project related reports.
Project management of asbestos and lead abatement projects including scheduling field staff, client management, dealing with contractors and ensuring compliance with state and city agencies, a plus.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or related discipline.
1-2 years of experience in the environmental consulting field, specifically industrial hygiene preferred.
Current NYSDOL certifications for the following:
Asbestos Inspector desired.
Mold Assessor desired.
Asbestos Project Monitoring/Air Sampling Technician desired.
Asbestos Project Designer desired.
NYC DEP Asbestos Investigator a plus.
Lead EPA lead inspector/risk assessor certification a plus.
Strong technical skills including field expertise and knowledge of architectural drawings.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Client relationship skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
