Staff Pharmacist

The Staff Pad is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our client's healthcare team in Las Vegas, New Mexico. The ideal candidate will function independently to manage various medication management processes, ensuring optimal patient care and safety. This role requires oversight of pharmacy technicians, collaboration with healthcare providers, and direct interaction with patients to provide essential drug information and support.

Key Responsibilities:

- Independently manage medication management processes, including procurement, storage, preparation, transcription, and distribution.

- Provide oversight and guidance to pharmacy technicians to support medication management processes.

- Monitor specified parameters of medication therapy according to established protocols and monitoring programs.

- Provide accurate and timely drug information to healthcare providers and patients.

- Strive to improve patient safety concerning medication therapy through diligent monitoring and patient education.

- Participate in and contribute to ad hoc projects aimed at enhancing pharmacy services and operations.

Requirements

Education:

- Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy College with a Bachelor's, Master's, or Pharm.D. degree.

Experience:

- Experience as a Hospital Pharmacist is preferred but not required.

Licenses/Certificates:

- Must be a New Mexico Licensed Registered Pharmacist.
