Staff Pharmacist

Currently, we are partnered with a premier client in search of a highly talented Staff Pharmacist.
Job Summary:

Our Medical Center is looking to fill the position of Staff Pharmacist. This role operates under the general supervision of the Director of Pharmacy and is responsible for performing professional functions associated with the practice of pharmacy in an institutional setting, as authorized by the Vermont Board of Pharmacy Rules and Regulations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Review and interpret physician orders to evaluate drug incompatibilities, allergies, and appropriateness of therapy
Evaluate drug selection, dosage, and frequency of administration
Confer with physicians and allied health personnel to resolve questions and irregularities regarding physician orders
Demonstrate knowledge of high alert/high risk medications and ensure their safe use
Apply appropriate clinical knowledge using standard protocols to improve medication safety
Qualifications:
I. Education
Bachelor or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy required
II. Experience
A minimum of one year of pharmacy experience required
Hospital pharmacy experience required
Knowledge, Skills &
Abilities:
Proficient computer and data entry skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of institutional pharmacy practices and procedures
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
