Recruiting Heroes is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Staff Accountant to join our client in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania.
In this role you will be responsible for maintaining the General ledger, financial reporting and analysis, month-end closing entries, bank reconciliations, ad-hoc reporting, and other various general accounting functions. The Staff Accountant will apply proper accounting and reporting principles (US GAAP) to effectively administer the routine functions of the accounting department.
Essential Job Functions:
· Perform general ledger month-end closing functions
· Prepare and review monthly journal entries and related balance sheet account reconciliations
· Complete monthly bank reconciliations
· Prepare or assist in the preparation of various schedules and supporting documents as required
· Fixed assets monitoring existing assets and tracking new projects/purchased for capitalization
· Investigate reporting discrepancies and communicate issues in a timely manner
· Oversee sales &
use tax filings and payments
· SOX compliance and testing
· Ad hoc reporting and other projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience
· Bachelors degree in Accounting and or Finance preferred
· 2 to 3 years of experience in accounting or related field
· Strong mathematical and analytical skills
· Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
