Staff Accountant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Management:
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, payments, and collections.
Reconciliations:
Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations by keeping up-to-date with current laws and regulations.
Internal Controls:
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Audit Support:
Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Expense Tracking:
Monitor and analyze expenses to ensure they align with budgeted amounts.
Month-End and Year-End Close:
Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.
Special Projects:
Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience,
