Position Overview:
We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to manage and support our financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. This role involves preparing financial statements, maintaining general ledger accounts, and assisting with various accounting tasks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of our financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger accounts, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Conduct regular analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support organizational goals.
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven 2 years' experienceas a Staff Accountant or in a similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.G., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
CPA certification or progress toward CPA certification is a plus.
