Staff Accountant

Job Description
The Staff Accountant will have an integral role in the Accounting &
Finance team which includes reconciliations, period-end close processes, journal entry preparation, variance analysis, and internal management reporting. The role offers a great opportunity for growth, as we continue to build the accounting department and make continuous process improvements.
This is a Hybrid role (remote Mon, Wed, Friday &
onsite Tue &
Thu) in our Aventura, FL location.
Essential Functions
Participate in the period-end close process including the preparation of journal entries, support schedules, and balance sheet reconciliations
Ensure all required financial data is properly captured, reconciled, documented, and disclosed, consistent with accounting standards
Prepare reporting and/or analysis
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
Implement and develop solutions to drive accounting efficiencies
Provide support during the annual audit, as necessary
Serve as backup for accounts payable and/or accounts receivable functions
Assist with special projects and other functions, as necessary
