Job Summary:
The position involves researching, designing, and developing embedded computer systems software in collaboration with hardware product development. Essential duties include enhancing software quality, analyzing software requirements, consulting with hardware engineers, developing software specifications, coordinating software releases, and performing other assigned tasks.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 5 to 10 years of experience in firmware development for network hardware devices such as switches, routers, and soft switches.
Strong communication and business relation skills.
Experience in writing software for drivers and network devices under operating systems including Windows and Linux (experience with VxWorks and QNX is desirable).
Proficiency in C/C++, DOS, LINUX shell scripts.
Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
Ability to interpret product data sheets and schematics.
