Job Description
In this role, you will be part of the Core Product Integration and Lifecycle Management product team within Consumer Payments. The unified APIs will be a suite a APIs that will simplify access to Visa products and service for our clients. By introducing new unified APIs with a common testing environment, we will deliver a simplified method of API/service deployment that will reduce complexity for clients and enable multiproduct adoption.
As the Senior Product Manager, Unified APIs, you will help drive the product strategy and manage key activities and dependencies to help resolve challenges needed between the different functional groups across Technology, Product, etc. You will drive planning, product development, and delivery effort for the Consumer Payment Unified APIs with key milestones identified. This position reports into the VP, Core Product Integratron and Lifecycle Management.
Essential Functions
Work with Visa product teams and other stakeholders to ensure Consumer Payments Unified APIs capabilities are aligned with Visa product strategy.
Manage product roadmap and prioritized backlog including production issues.
Work with architects and development teams to ensure detailed requirements are accurate, complete and can be taken up for development.
Ensure all requirements are well articulated in JIRA as Epics/Features for Engineering team and dependent teams.
Facilitate end to end product delivery as needed by undertaking any requirement clarification, scoping, creating functional test scenarios, UAT signs offs, release communications etc.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather high level requirements, convert them into feature specs, prioritize, and partner with engineering teams to drive execution.
Advocate for internal and external customer needs to influence solutions design and priorities.
Establish milestones in alignment with client needs to ensure timely product delivery.
Represent the product team in engineering meetings, providing clarification on features and requirements.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
