Overview:
Growing Law Firm in Irvine is seeking a Sr Paralegal. This is a full-time position with competitive salary and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of legal matters, including research, drafting legal documents, and managing contracts and agreements
- Conduct legal research and provide analysis of laws, regulations, and legal precedent
- Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents
- Manage and maintain contracts database
- Coordinate with internal departments and external parties to ensure timely execution of contracts
- Assist with due diligence and document preparation for mergers and acquisitions
- Support attorneys in litigation matters, including document review and preparation for trial
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company
- Train and supervise junior paralegals and legal assistants
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in a corporate or law firm setting
- Experience with oil and gas industry and/or energy sector preferred
- Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research databases
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Certification from the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) or similar organization preferred
