About the JobJOB SUMMARY The Sr. Director of Integrated Marketing is responsible for leading a team of marketing professionals that develop and implement strategic marketing programs and campaigns to build the PetSmart brand and drive Omni-channel sales and profits through fantastic customer experiences.This position requires the ability to conceptualize, strategize, plan and implement proven fundamental brand, direct, digital, and content marketing practices and seek ways to innovate with new ideas too. It is essential that the successful candidate be able to quickly establish rapport, credibility, trust, and respect with peers, subordinates, media and creative agencies, and management across functions (eg. media, marketing ops, PR/Social, creative, brand strategy, eCom, CRM, and merchandising).The successful candidate must combine proven experience in strategic marketing (ideally multi-specialty throughout her/his career) with a passion for retail operations and customer service in large organizational contexts.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES+ Envision, develop and align the organization around enterprise and category-specific integrated marketing plans.+ Develop and implement initiatives and campaigns to improve the customer experience, differentiate the brand, and drive sales.+ Develop unique omni-channel, consumer insight-led marketing programs that delight pet parents and deliver value for internal &
external stakeholders+ Create relevant stories for pet parents that deliver solutions for the unique needs of their pets+ Analyze our services businesses and the competition to develop insights to identify opportunities and threats and to help build successful marketing strategies and programs.+ Lead a team of professionals of differing experience levels that each require a different level of mentorship and guidance.+ Establish an open, inclusive, and positive and results-driven team culture of development and excellence based on curiosity and learning.+ Manage marketing spend, including detailed recommendations, recaps, opportunities for the future and precise spending tracking.+ Understand and recommend opportunities with the greatest ROI that achieve business objectives.+ Present regularly to senior leaders (VP, SVP, EVP) regarding initiative updates, plans and results. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This role has 4 direct reports and a total team size of approximately 12, but also provides leadership across the Marketing/Customer Experience department. The Sr. Director of Integrated Marketing is expected to partner across the Enterprise, Merchandise and Services Marketing teams to ensure alignment on key marketing messages, support plans and calendar planning.SKILLS+ Ability to flow seamlessly from strategy to execution, driving vision while also commanding a deep understanding of tactical day-to-day to ensure strong in market execution on time, on budget and meeting KPIs.+ Excellent communication skills - can give presentations to senior management, write a well thought-out recommendation, communicates well with peers and subordinates.+ Ability to be assertive and operate with a sense of urgency, making data-based recommendations and influencing others with an expert point of view+ Possess a strong curiosity and passion for continually learning about the customer and uncovering new means to reach and engage him/her+ Possess a strong analytic mindset, with the ability to assess pre- and post-behavior, draw strategic conclusions based on data and turn the data into insights with recommended action+ Possess strong executive presence with ability to understand appropriate level of detail and context for audiences of varying seniority+ Ability to collaborate cross functionally to drive business strategies and initiatives+ Ability to develop and retain talent through coaching and mentoringAbout the CultureOur home office offers outstanding amenities in a fun and rewarding workplace including:
