Job Description
The Senior Business Systems Analyst will be a member of NBCUniversal’s Video Platform Software Engineering organization, concentrating on Ad Sales technology. The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for ensuring our Ad Sales business can perform their day-to-day activities utilizing our integrated systems. This role provides front-end user support, back-end monitoring and troubleshooting for a variety of systems which assist with functions such as sales, planning, pricing, campaign management, traffic/operations, creative, promotions, ad serving, delivery and billing.
Responsibilities:
Take ownership of all types of tickets from a queue to analyze and follow up on requests while meeting established SLAs
Work ina team setting with counterparts tosolveissues at hand while also working solely to provideupdates to stakeholders throughout the process
Understand how issues impact the business and escalate critical issues when necessary
Document and follow standard operating procedures for production troubleshooting and incident management
Understand system design to be able to guide others on complex business logic and troubleshoot calculation, integration, and backend data issues
Identify and manage defects and work with vendors and engineering teams to resolve and implement solutions
Collaborate with varying teams to understand system functionalityand architecture to solve issues, document in a knowledge base and gain an overall better understanding
Analyze process and system issues and suggest areas for improvement and solutions, such as automation opportunities
Determine alerts monitors and logging needed to identify problems before they occur help troubleshoot and prevent issues
Works within business hours with occasional evenings and weekends as needed and during special events/seasons
