Essential Job Functions:
Assist the Special Education teacher in facilitating instructional activities
Work one-on-one with learners
Work with small groups to support instruction
Reinforces instructional skills taught by the teacher
Compiles, prepares, and organizes materials for instruction
Assist with daily attendance and collecting communication folders
Assist in supervising students as they transition from one setting to the next
Operates computers, printers, copiers,laminating machines, and other devices/tools
Requirements
An associate's degree or higher;
or
An approved state or local academic assessment that measures the paraprofessional's knowledge of and ability to assist in instruction at the appropriate level. Paraprofessionals may meet the assessment requirement by passing the ((url removed)). The minimum passing score on this test is 456.
Ensure compliance with required federal, state, district, and school policies
Develop and maintain professional relationships with pupils, parents, teachers, staff, and the community
