** As an **Electrical Design Engineer 3**, you will contribute across a broad range of electrical engineering disciplines targeting advanced tactical weapon platforms, sensors, and avionics. This position supports the Advanced Systems &
Technologies (AS&
T) division, which specializes in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV) technologies using small company agility and big company experience. **Essential Functions:
** + Responsible for assigned electrical design tasks including requirements analysis, specification generation, interface definition, component selection, circuit simulation, schematic capture, and board layout + Capable of advanced CCA design implementing complex components including data converters, standard and custom interfaces, memory, processor, op amps, switches and logic devices + Conduct or oversee the layout activities for a range of simple to complex PCBs + Design product support test hardware including breakout boards and interface cable fixtures + Interface with software and FPGA engineers to test and troubleshoot electrical circuits and interfaces of the CCAs + Identify high risk circuits functions to simulate/prototype before creation of full design + Create complete design package delivery including requirements and design description documentation + Drive and complete peer reviews, PDRs, CDRs, and other required design reviews for development rigor + Interface with interdisciplinary design teams and reviews + Provide schedule, cost, and technical status during development, integration and test + Develop test plans and procedures for electrical subsystems + Perform evaluation, simulation, bread-boarding, test and troubleshooting of electrical circuits and functions + Participate on technical proposal writing teams + Ensure that company processes for product development, configuration management, purchasing, etc. are followed + Other duties as required **Qualifications:
** + U.S. citizen + Able to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance and additional clearances as required + BS Electrical Engineering degree + A minimum of 5 years' experience in a related electrical engineering field + Board level design, development and/or testing experience with circuits involving analog, digital, power, and high speed applications + Product design experience with repetitive production applications + CAD tools:
Simulation, Modeling, Schematic Capture, etc. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office products + Able to travel up to 10% to support field testing **Preferred Additional Skills:
** + Advanced degree + Existing DoD clearance with current 5 year update + Matlab or other programming language + Advanced Engineering Degree + Cost account manager experience + Design for Test, Design for Manufacturing, and/or Design to Cost experience + Excellent people skills, with experience leading and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment. + Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success + Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, &
