Gadge USA was established in 1993. Our company is a national packaging supply and supply-chain solutions company with an expansive distribution network. We manage packaging portfolios across multiple categories, combined with a scalable service model, which delivers packaging solutions and continuous improvement to our customers.
We are currently recruiting a Sourcing Specialist, reporting to our Senior Manager, Sourcing. In this role, you will support the Sourcing department and collaborate with project managers to plan, execute and launch new packaging products. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation, attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams.
What You Will Do:
Support the Sourcing Department, collaborate with other Specialists and Sourcing Managers to help develop new products and specification changes.
Contribute to the creation of product specifications and customer proposals, considering factors such as vendor capabilities, pricing, lead times, and customer requirements.
Assist in researching new product solutions, testing and prototyping ideas, market trends and competition. Gather and organize product specifications, including design requirements, functionality, and performance criteria.
Help develop project requirements, update project plans and monitor timelines.
Manage deliverables to an accurate &
timely completion basedon importance and urgency and identify or escalate risks, issues and/or concerns.
Support the preparation and creation of product documentation such as customer/vendor quotes, specification documents, and other internal forms or files.
Assist in conducting competitive analysis to identify areas of cost-savings opportunities.
Timely and accurately execute individual tasks delegated by the project manager.
Prepare new item and specification change documentation including new item form, specification and technical sheets, warehouse notification, customer price list, update systems.
Identify potential vendors that align with company requirements and criteria.
Process incoming orders, perform follow-ups, and escalate orders as needed.
Provide administrative support as required such as Request for Quotes (RFQs), documenting specifications in Salesforce or Specright system, and tracking all project notes through the project life cycle.
Requirements
Must-Haves:
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, product development, or a related field or 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to gather and interpret data to drive informed decision-making.
Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities, with a keen attention to detail, and the ability to drive towards meeting deadlines.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and can collaborate with internally and externally.
Strong analytical aptitude for evaluation of products and services
Basic to intermediate technical skills (e.G. Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, CRM).
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience with purchase order, bill-of-lading and inventory.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and other Office 365 products.
Proficiency in project management tools and software.
Knowledge of product development methodologies.
Passion and interest in the packaging industry. Experience a plus!

This role will be based in our office located at 3000 Marcus Avenue, Suite 3E03, Lake Success, NY 11042.
The salary range for this role is up to $60,000 commensurate with the candidate's experience.
