Seasoned Recruitment is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Worker with a focus on Substance Use Disorder to join our team. As a Social Worker in this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals struggling with substance abuse issues. This position requires a license as a Master of Social Work (LMSW) and a deep understanding of substance use disorder treatment and support.
This position offers a $3,000 sign on bonus and an incentive opportunity each pay period!
The Adult Behavioral Health SUD Therapist is responsible for maintaining a caseload consisting of clients, adolescents and adults, with a primary substance abuse and/or mental health diagnosis.
The therapist is required to conduct intake assessments, to maintain the case record in a timely fashion, to complete authorizations with various funding sources in a timely manner as required, and to conduct appropriate treatment services based on medical necessity.
Regular working hours for staff are Monday through Thursday 8:
30 am to 7 pm and Friday 8:
30 am to 5 pm. Evening hours will be required, and determined based on program needs.
Responsibilities include conducting assessments and developing treatment plans for individuals with substance use disorders, providing individual and group therapy, coordinating care with other healthcare professionals, and connecting clients with community resources and support networks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in substance use disorder treatment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling and possess the corresponding State of Michigan licensure Candidates without a state license can be considered but must obtain state licensure (LLMSW, LLPC, TLLP, LMSW, LPC or LLP) within a 60-day training period beginning on the date of hire. This period may be extended by up to an additional 60 days of training at the sole discretion of the employer. Failure to obtain licensure within the training period will result in the employee being unqualified to perform work functions. Beyond the training period, all state licensure must continually remain active, in effect, and free from disciplinary action.
Current license as a Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Michigan
Candidates must obtain the Qualified Mental Health Professional credential within 120 days of hire. Must possess a CAADC credential, or be on an active, approved registered MCBAP certification Development Plan within six weeks of hire.
Must have 1 year of experience (may include time spent in fieldwork or internship) treating or working with people who have been diagnosed with mental illness and substance use disorders. Knowledge of evidence-based practices in substance use disorder treatment
Experience with individual and group therapy
Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently
