Job purpose
RISE Community Services is looking for a social media coordinator. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, independent and self-motivated with strong social media skills. This position is expected to exercise a high degree of creativity and personal ownership. General photography and video skills are required using either a cell phone or a DSLR-style camera. This is a part-time position with time spent in our main office and various locations around the Warrensburg area. Our main office hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-4:
30pm. This is a flexible position, with an anticipated workload of 20-25 hours per week. Very limited remote work outside of office hours may also be available.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Comfortably interact with all levels of RISE leadership, staff, and individuals.
- Coordinate with the Marketing and Outreach Manager to develop an overall social media plan each month.
- Directly manage all social media accounts.
- Conduct routine, basic social media audits to gauge effectiveness of content.
- Communicate with and assist department directors with social media needs as they arise.
- Capture weekly videos and photographs of various activities at our main office, residential homes, community events, and retail store locations throughout Warrensburg with the express purpose of social media content creation.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
- Follow all safety protocols to foster a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age.
- H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and any subsequent background checks after employment.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and may be subject to random drug and alcohol checks thereafter.
Skills and Knowledge
- Experience with major social media platforms.
- General photography and video skills (using either cell phone or DSLR/mirrorless camera).
- Time management skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Able to work either independently or collaboratively within a team.
- A desire to support and work with individuals with disabilities.
