Shop Manager / Foreman Oil And Gas Industry

VALiNTRY is seeking a Shop Manager for a position in Odessa, TX
The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $125,000 per year. However, if you possess additional valuable skill sets that could benefit the enterprise, you may be eligible for higher compensation. We encourage strong technical candidates to apply without hesitation.
* Must have experience managing a large group of people.
* Wellhead experience is a plus Responsible for managing the daily activities of the Shop Foreman, Shop Department, and Shipping/Receiving Department.
Essential Functions, Roles and Responsibilities:
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.
* Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs, and regulations.
* Manage local safety program within established guidelines, complete and submit monthly safety reporting and conduct safety meetings.
* Manages department personnel including interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring, coaching, counseling, and corrective action when required.
* Responsible for actively and continually recruiting qualified candidates for necessary positions for the department assigned to, as well as other positions as able.
* Schedules production/workflow based on business needs.
* Ensure all equipment is in working order and serviced as required and maintain good housekeeping in the branch facility.
* Diagnose problems and recommend or implement appropriate solutions.
* Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications.
* Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
* Interprets Company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
* Interprets specifications and job orders to workers and assigns duties.
* Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
* Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
* Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, and work crew.
* Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
* Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
* Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
* Performs all other duties as required and/or assigned. Education, Training, Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
or one to five years related experience and/or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
