Shipping/Receiving Manager

Job Description
Position Summary:
The Shipping/Receiving Supervisor – Deltar Fasteners will report to the Customer Relations Manager – Deltar Fasteners and will be responsible to oversee all activities as they relate to departmental objectives including delivery performance, customer relations and related administrative practices.
Primary Responsibilities:
Supervise a team of employees, including temporary and contract employees.
Assist with daily Shipping activities such as order processing, receiving, housekeeping, etc.
Have an in depth understanding of each function within the Shipping Department.
Attend QAR meetings relating to Shipping caused concerns/8D completion as applicable.
Establish or update work instructions and procedures as necessary.
Initial contact for resolution of day to day problems.
Continuously improve Shipping/Receiving operations.
Maintenance of accurate inventory and audits.
Maintain and promote a safe working environment.
Conduct employee performance evaluations.
Address employee performance/counseling issues as they arise.
Scheduling personnel to duties.
Oversee employee vacation time and schedule coverage.
Maintenance of overall warehouse area and related activities, including completion of work orders when necessary.
