Senior Tax Accountant

Job Overview:
Stardom is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in tax planning, preparation, and compliance for both individuals and businesses. This role demands a thorough understanding of tax regulations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
Conduct tax research and planning to ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
Provide tax advice and support to clients and internal teams.
Manage and coordinate tax audits and handle correspondence with tax authorities.
Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax benefits.
Prepare quarterly and annual tax provisions and related financial statement disclosures.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and communicate the impact to clients and internal stakeholders.
Mentor and supervise junior tax staff, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or equivalent certification required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on tax planning and compliance.
Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.G., UltraTax, Lacerte, or similar).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
