Senior Store Planner And Allocator

Job Description
The Senior Store Planner and Allocator is responsible for achieving successful merchandising productivity as set out in the retail financial plan. This position is an integral role and responsible for initial set allocation and replenishment functions supporting all retail locations of Sundance.
Execute merchandise allocations incorporating seasonal strategies, weekly allocation/shipment targets, analysis of sales and market trends, store inventory levels, demographics, store capacity, sell-through rates, buying quantities, and product content.
Collaborate with Director of Operations and Liquidations and merchandising organization to review/ challenge assortment flow plan and ensure sufficient quantities are purchased to support the assortment plan.
Collaborate with Planners, and buying groups to identify growth opportunities and minimize down-trending business. This includes identifying the best assortment of merchandise for stores, based on past sales performances, emerging trends, and store needs.
Determine category unit and replenishment plans for a designated Sundance, based on each store’s historical performance and projected trends.
Perform pre-season, in-season, and post-season analysis to uncover opportunities and risks. Develop recommendations for in-season changes and pre-season assortment plans to ensure maximization of objectives.
Partner with merchant organization on size strategy execution providing analysis, depth needs, range recommendations.
Partner with Planning to capture sales trends, identify key business drivers and constant process improvement.
Create store/department-level inventory and sales plans that tie in to total company plans.
Monitor warehouse inventory and flow and recommends appropriate actions in order to maximize business objectives.
Execute New Store assortment/inventory builds, responsibilities including:
partnering visuals, store operations, DC/Logistics.
Prepare weekly/monthly review of item sales and inventory results;
coordinate subsequent re-forecasting estimates with the Director of Operations and Liquidations.
Generate sales-to-stock reports to monitor store inventory levels to ensure ideal stock levels are consistently maintained to meet customer demand
Seasonally recap and report location and size selling performance and needs.
Review slow moving and aging product – recommends markdowns or EOS.
