Senior Staff Project/Program Design

Job Description
Manages all TPD Projects and lead cross functional teams that are focused on the delivery of product from kick-off to release for customers.
Identifies needed resources for projects within Timing Division
Monitors the product/program/project/portfolio from initiation through delivery, interfacing with external customers or field based employess on technical matters as needed.
Help drive Timing Division`s overall expansion strategy to increase revenue and productivity by recruiting and ramping up team of strong technical project managers to drive roadmap execution of product portfolio
Help select, develop, mentor and evaluate Timing Division PMO team capable of delivering on time and under schedule new products that meet stakeholder and customer expectations using Renesas New Product Development flows and methodologies.
Develops Defines and executes project plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables at a portfolio level
Ensure PMs exhibit full project ownership, become the got-to person for all internal teams for questions related to projects and have total involvement in all phases of product development process from start to finish.
Responsible for tracking overall project metrics/KPI such as schedule, risks, scope, budget, cost entitlement and manufacturability for entire product portfolio.
Participate in Annual Operation planning. Work with PM team to estimate, forecast and manage individual project as well as program/portfolio spend to ensure actual spend tracks closely with forecast and avoid surprises.
Develop best practice guidelines, processes and execution methodologies for team to follow to continuously improve project execution.
Oversee, guide and sanity check project planning. Ensure Timing Division PMO team is creating adequate forums for tracking execution progress, have well organized execution meetings where project teams are openly discussing, debating and making on the ground project decisions necessary to keep project moving forward.
Build trust and collaborate closely with functional leadership from other functional teams for identifying and removing execution roadblocks, mitigate risks and improve efficiencies for continuously improving project execution
Collaborate with X-functional and Peers from other business groups to drive collaboration and harvest best practices and lessons learned to keep Timing Product group in sync with One Renesas methodologies, tools and systems
Work with demand creation, sales and marketing to align execution and sample priorities with market and customer needs to allow us to compete and win. Guide team to help prepare customer requested RFI, RFQ responses to bid on key business opportunities
Effectively communicate with leadership, with the team and across the organization to keep stakeholders, leadership informed of project status, escalate early to identify and address issues before they start to impact execution metrics
Guide team to prepare and effectively report project status updates at management decision point reviews as well as cross functional project progress reviews.
