Senior Staff Accountant

Job Summary:
The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial operations. This role includes preparing financial statements, performing complex accounting activities, and supporting the finance team in various accounting functions. The Senior Staff Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager and work closely with other departments to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Perform detailed account reconciliations and analysis to ensure accuracy of financial records.
Oversee the general ledger, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with GAAP.
Assist in the preparation and coordination of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and discrepancies.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Stay current with accounting regulations and standards to ensure compliance.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.G., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
