Job Description:

As a Senior Specialist, Astrodynamics Systems Engineer, you will contribute to a Systems Engineering team in mission planning and scheduling upon program award, with a preference for those who have worked within the Space Command and Control (C2) domain. This position supports the Space &
Airborne Systems (SAS) division, a great team of talented professionals with world class technical expertise who take a collaborative approach to engineering and enjoy working together. We have a long history of innovative and exceptional performance;

In this position, you will bring your systems engineering background to a role where you can make a broad impact to programs and projects that are critical to our customers!

Essential Functions:

Participate in the development and integration of mission planning and scheduling systems for space operations.
Conduct software testing to ensure system reliability and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address system requirements and resolve technical issues.
Contribute to the creation of technical documentation and user manuals.
Modeling and Simulation
Stay current with emerging technologies and advancements in the Space C2 domain.
Management of requirements.
Ability to lead a technical scrum team.
Travel as needed (a minimum of 10% travel expected).
Works under general supervision.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field
Active TS Security Clearance
Experience with mission planning and scheduling systems
Experience in software development, testing and validation
Experience with astrodynamics concepts and applications
Experience in testing and troubleshooting systems

Preferred Additional Skills:

Experience in the Space C2 domain
Experience with Scala, Matlab
SDA domain experience
Experience with MBSE techniques to support system design and development
Strong written and verbal communication
Experience working successfully both independently and in a team environment through an entire build cycle
Self motivated learner/self starter

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $89,000- $165,000 This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
