Job Description
AECOMis seeking an experiencedSenior Project Archtectwith relevant experience in laboratory (including vivarium) programming, planning and design for the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, academic, biomedical, petrochemical or other research institutions. Thisperson is to be based inHouston, TX.
Responsibilities and requirements for this position include but are not limited to:
Work directly with clients, scientists, researchers and related end-users to develop laboratory planning strategies at all levels of detail including new construction and renovations
Offers and supports creative laboratory planning, technical design and detailing decisions that are in line with project goals and understands their impact on cost, construction, sustainability and other factors
Provide or follow verbal and written instructions to revise, develop and produce plans, elevations and details appropriately
Direct document production in accordance with identified project specific checklists, AECOM standards and QA/QC standard program
Promotes firm and project goals of excellence in design, execution, and sustainability
Day to day project and client management of laboratory projects from initial planning through construction
