Job Description
Workforce Transition at McDonald’s involves planning and driving changes in employee roles to support a new organizational structure. This global effort, led by McDonald’s Culture and Organization Effectiveness teamand HR Business Partners (HRBPs), works with the Transformation Management Office (TMO) to implement new working methods across teams. A key focus is ensuring that the impact of talent and organizational changes is carefully evaluated with the Value Realization Office (VRO).
As McDonald’s evolves, the team builds detailed plans for workforce transitions to support new functional designs and future states. This process includes developing blueprints, mapping talent movements, and preparing activation plans. The transition involves talent decisions, and ensuring all HR processes are ready. Effective communication and change management are essential to moving into the future state model successfully.
In this role, you will:

Lead org design projects focusing on activating and implementing the new org structure as well as ways of working, driving a smooth workforce transition
Use data and analytics to make decisions on Organization Design leading practices, ensuring solution is aligned to the design parameters, operating model principles and business case.
Understand customer requirements and define the Key Performance Indicators that are critical for quality tracking and evaluation of Organization Design implementation
Review the to-be Business Process Design to understand organization/role impacts, and build Role Descriptions for retained organization
Define the to-be skills/knowledge requirements for the affected workforce and the characteristics of the current workforce
Build an activation plan and measure progress against it as well as identify any risks
Align the performance objectives, behaviors, and incentives with the Job Designs and Team Designs
Identify the critical/redundant jobs and develop/support the execution of the Job Sourcing Plan to achieve the business objectives
Develop the organization transition approach to help the organization implement the planned changes
Support the organization throughout its transition
