About This Role
The Senior Manager, Scientific Communications is a member of the Global Scientific Capabilities department within Medical Affairs and is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of high-quality scientific communications deliverables. This person will report to the Director, Scientific Communications for Rare Disease, Pipeline, and Neuropsychiatry and will have the opportunity to work in multiple therapeutic areas, primarily leading publications. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and analytical skills, the ability to work independently, and the ability to balance multiple ongoing workstreams, prioritizing as necessary. Experience in immunology is a plus.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with Global Medical on the development of the overall scientific communications strategy, with a focus on publications
Provide scientific communications expertise and leadership for assigned products, including publications and the global scientific platform;
provide input into the overall scientific communications strategy
Ensure that materials are developed in a manner consistent with Biogen SOPs and other relevant guidelines, such as GPP 2022
Lead cross-functional team meetings and drive the production of scientific communications materials, often under tight timelines.
Manage external vendors and ensure that all materials are developed in a cost-effective manner and are consistent with the strategic thinking for a given product
Ensure that submitted materials are accurate, compliant, balanced, and of the highest quality

You have the ability to develop collaborative relationships with internal colleagues and to be independent, multi-task, and results-oriented with a hands-on attitude in a fast-paced and energetic environment.
