Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or equivalent related work or military experience
- 5 years of risk management, insurance or other relevant finance experience
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or other advanced degree in Finance or similar field
- 10 years of risk management, insurance or other relevant finance experience
- 3 years proven success in a leadership role
- Licensed insurance industry professional

What you'll do on a typical day:
- Assist in identifying and managing non-speculative risks through avoidance, reduction, loss mitigation or transfer
- Manage the insurance renewal process including marketing, submissions, insurer/broker meetings, and receipt and filing of binders and policies
- Review insurance coverage, limits and retentions to meet company's risk and exposure needs
- Interface with operations, insurance brokers and insurers to identify and resolve insurance issues
- Assist in the analysis of losses and operations to identify and quantify opportunities to mitigate cost and manage risk reduction projects with appropriate teams
- Manage the actuarial analysis process to meet deadlines and communicate with internal stakeholders
- Develop and maintain budgets for claims retention, insurance premiums and insurance related expenses, allocating costs as needed
- Review insurance billings for accuracy, monitor spend against budget and communicate with internal teams
- Ensure compliance with monopolistic and qualified self-insurer programs including required filings, reporting and payments
- Review insurance and risk transfer provisions in contracts, leases and other agreements
- Liaise with internal teams on various insurance and risk management related issues
