The Opportunity:
The Global Sr. Manager is responsible for overall creative direction for Mattel’s Infant Preschool Properties within Franchise/Consumer Products. The Sr. Manager is immersed in future trends, current state of the business, and the future of the brand. This role collaborates within the department and company to establish global, relevant and brand-right creative strategies and materials needed to support the business. The Global Sr. Manager must be able to work with external partners and be a wealth of creativity while maintaining the brand. The Global Sr. Manager manages the creative team and is the CP brand lead globally, working across the world to ensure consistency and support across all aspects of consumer product development. This is a fast-paced, visible role that needs an extremely high level of creativity and taste, excellent prioritization, organizational and collaboration/communication skills.
What Your Impact Will Be:
Sr. Manager is responsible for the below at a high level:
Brand creative responsibility across tentpoles, campaigns, and other marketing moments
Oversee and direct Style guides and all other CP/Franchise creative
Oversee global category toolkits and inspiration based on brand vision
Always up to date on current and emerging fashion and consumer trends and able to curate/apply to multiple brands
Global pitch development
Provide creative strategic direction and support to priority global licensees/programs
Partner with Product Approval team to provide marcom and creative support for priority licensees
Support Halo programs/collaborations with design direction
Partner with cross functional creative teams to ensure creative consistency
Partner with Product approval team on priority licensee line execution
Partner with other internal creative teams on key category/program development to ensure creative consistency
Lead team brainstorm sessions (as well as cross-functional sessions) for new product development and innovation.
Partner with all relevant stakeholders on creative guide development
Able to Art direct any character art and key art where needed
Ensure all assets created are technically excellent and compatible to their intended use
Leading, mentoring and developing their team
