Our management team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Librarian to join our team. As a Senior Librarian, you would play a vital role in organizing and managing the Information Center's valuable resource and instructional services as directed by Government management.

Office Location:
Alexandria, VA
Coordinate exceptional customer service functions within the Information Center. - Provide valuable input to Government management for the short and long-term planning of the Information Center's development.
Establish collection needs in partnership with Government management, aligning them with instructional and informational goals.
Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of instructional and information resource support.
Efficiently offer reference, research, evaluative, and instructional services to Information Center clientele.
Develop and maintain a central reference point for eBooks and ePublications
Coordinate the evaluation of the current print and media collection, suggesting electronic information resource replacements.
Stay up to date on copyright requirements and efficiently oversee copyright clearance activities.
Conduct engaging briefings on Information Center and Library resources for students classes, and instructional staff.
Collaborate with Schools/Centers and Government management to continuously enhance the web presence, accommodating instructional needs.
Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications:

M.LIS. (Master's in Library and Information Science) from an American Library Association-accredited graduate program.
Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in information centers. library programs, or services.
Knowledge and experience in current information technologies.
Advanced customer service, time management, coordination, and active listening skills. - In-depth knowledge of information sciences, contemporary library services information technology, and collection development.
Specialized skills in database use, evaluation of information resources, and working in cross-cultural environments,
Familiarity with copyright laws, world geography, and world history.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
