The Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for all aspects of human resources management, understanding and communicating company policies and procedures, wage and hour laws, and state and federal regulations;
this position is responsible for recruiting Bus Operators, Mechanics, and Utility Workers, and processing payroll using ADP Enterprise. This is a fast-paced work environment that requires excellent time management and organizational skills.

- Salary Range:
$75,000 - $85,000 per year - Medical/Dental/Vision health benefits
- 401k eligibility on the first of the month following 60 days employment

- Knows company policies, procedures, employment regulations, and wage and hour laws
- Processes payroll timely and accurately, and manages vacation balance accruals
- Implements human resources strategies in all HR functional areas, programs, and practices such as staffing, onboarding, offboarding, and employee relations
- Engages new hires throughout the hiring process, from interview and selection, background screening and pre-employment drug testing, to forms completion (i.E., acknowledgements, I-9 acceptable documents, and signed job descriptions)
- Tracks recruitment, leaves of absence, the interactive process, and offboards departing employees including performing exit interviews for all voluntary resignations
- With documentaiton, obtains approval from the Regional Human Resource Director on all terminations
- Proactively supports other HR functions as needed, such as open enrollment, candidate follow-up, and responding to employee inquiries
- Maintains an orderly office and filing system;
and separate files for medical, leave of absence, and private requests for accommodation - Maintains confidentiality of all information

Qualifications:
Education, Licensing, and Certifications Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required.
Education, Licensing, and Certifications Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred
- PHR or SPHR Certification preferred
Experience:
- Two to four years of relevant human resource experience, recruitment and retention, payroll processing, and employee relations experience
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Strong time managements skills and meeting deadlines in a fast paced work environment
- Understanding of employment laws, and state and federal regulations
- Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Suite
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret instructions, policies, and procedures
- Strong written and oral communication skills;
strong presentation skills - HRIS, ADP, and investigative experience preferred
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Must submit to drug testing and a background check
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed
- This is an onsite position
- 100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well ventilated facilities
- Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer
- The employee is generally subjected to long periods of sitting, typing, and looking at a computer screen
