Senior Geotechnical Engineer (Design) - Transportation

Job Description
AECOMis seeking a Sr. Geotechnical Engineer to serve as a technical leader on transportation projects with the focus on design to work out of any of our New York Metro offices:
Clifton, NJ;
Piscataway, NJ or New York, NY.
This role is available immediately.
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Lead Geotechnical Engineer on projects responsible for overseeing design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and technical specifications for assigned projects.
Prepare subsurface exploration programs, laboratory assignments and preparing geotechnical reports.
Evaluate ground conditions and understand their impacts on design and construction.
Provideguidance to entry level Engineers and other staff to bring completion to projects.
Performwork in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Independently performall the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
Lead/manage geotechnical engineering investigations.
Perform pile analysis, slope stability, settlement analysis, ground improvements and seepage analysis.
Utilize computer software programs, such as:
APILE, LPILE, GROUP, SEEPW, SLOPEW and GRLWEAP.
Prepare geotechnical engineering reports and construction documents.
This position willwork both independently and in teams.
Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team.
Providespecialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
Participatein interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
Performquality control review of design calculations or drawings.
Will work with and coordinate staff to meet project needs and schedule.
