In this role, you will be working in payments processing Software Engineering team. You will be working with other talented engineers to solve business problems through innovation and engineering best practices. You will be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development life cycle and partner continuously with your many stakeholders daily to stay focused on common goals. You will work in a collaborative, trusting, thought-provoking environment—one that encourages diversity of thought and creative solutions that are in the best interests of our global customers. You will lead the team by providing architecture and technical guidance to build a next-generation payment processing platform to process high volume of transactions per day.
As Senior Software Engineer, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Role and Responsibilities:
Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
Executes creative software solutions, architecture, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Develops secure quality code ready code with security at the core;
handles peer reviews, to match the industry best standards
Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Requirements
Strong hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability and experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
Strong professional working experience in the following:
Java, JEE, distributed systems development, Microservices, RESTful API, Spring framework, Spring boot, Cryptographic algorithms, Webhooks, etc.
Strong experience in React(Preferred)/Angular and Spring boot
Hands on experience in Cloud Design, Kubernetes, Containerization
Experience across Software Development Life Cycle
Experience agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application Resiliency, and Security
Expert experience with architecture, design, development, deployment, and support of large-scale high throughput mission critical applications – payment processing experience preferred
Strong expertise in building distributed applications using the core Java spring framework
Strong expertise in building RESTful microservices using spring boot application
Strong expertise in RDBMS, Cassandra, Message Broker (Kafka, Redis)
Development and orchestration of CI/CD pipelines
Proven experience designing 3 tier Infrastructure architecture solutions
