How you'll make an impact:
Primarily focused on ensuring operations teams are in compliance with operational controls and client servicing standards, where applicable.

Job responsibilities include:

executing internal audits of operational controls
compiling performance metrics
identifying the root cause(s) of control deficiencies
developing/monitoring control deficiency remediation plans

Additional duties may include:

preparation of monthly reports
assisting with design and implementation of controls to strengthen the control environment and mitigate risk
specialized projects
supports the promotion and education of the importance of internal controls with cross functional partners.

About you:
Required:

Bachelor's degree (Accounting/Finance) and 5 years related experience required
Solid understanding of internal controls
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Intermediate desktop skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Experience with process flows and process narrative documentation
Ability to compile and analyze complex data

Preferred:

5+ years related experience in an audit, accounting, or finance role preferred
Exposure to SOC reporting and experience with creating control and/or process documentation
Experience in the Insurance Industry and/or with Third Party Service Administrators a plus
Professional certifications (e.G., CPA, CIA, CISA) a plus

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and establish priorities
Detail-oriented problem solver with proven ability to evaluate processes, controls and issues to determine the risks
Proven ability to facilitate discussions with Division Leaders and bring closure to control issues
