Platinum Global Talent Solutions is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Senior Estimator specializing in Heavy Civil Infrastructure, where you'll play a pivotal role in preparing estimates for various construction projects. Your role involves thorough analysis of specifications and contract plans to determine cost-efficient quantities and construction practices, ensuring the successful attainment of pursuit, schedule, and price objectives.
Responsibilities:
Scope Assessment:
Review proposal specifications, drawings, and actively participate in pre-bid meetings to delineate the scope of work and requisite estimate contents.
Data Integration:
Incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, and productivity analysis reports into unit and person-hour figures.
Risk Analysis:
Provide technical insights on project and contract risks to the lead estimator for final bid price approval. Review final estimates to ensure alignment with overall project schedule and cost goals.
Prepare Discipline Estimates:
Calculate comprehensive takeoffs of the scope of work and determine material quantity requirements based on engineering drawing dimensions.
Client Collaboration:
Consult with clients, vendors, and relevant stakeholders to discuss and formulate estimates, resolving any arising issues efficiently.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
Industry Expertise:
Possess over 10 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry, with a focus on estimating or cost control.
Specialized Knowledge:
Demonstrated expertise in alternative construction delivery methods is essential.
Software Proficiency:
Advanced proficiency in HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating Software is a must.
Communication Skills:
Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills for clear and effective support, research, recommendations, and pricing.
Technical Writing:
Display robust technical writing skills.
Time Management:
Demonstrate exceptional time management and prioritization skills to meet tight turnaround and bid deadlines.
Leadership Abilities:
Possess the ability to lead pursuit and estimating activities on large or complex projects.

The salary range for this full-time role is USD $155,000 - $185,000/ year.
