Senior Environmental Scientist

Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Civil Engineering firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Senior Environmental Scientist in Red Bank, NJ.
Responsibilities:
Support the evaluation of the nature and extent of contamination, support risk assessments and evaluate remediation alternatives.
Review Site investigation and site characterization reports and understand the human and ecological health risks quickly.
Knowledge of NJDEP regulations and guidance documents.
Experience planning and conducting environmental field investigations and data collection/sampling.
Understand and discuss a Conceptual Site Model with a team of collaborators.
Oversee staff conducting field activities (i.E., drilling, sampling, maintenance activities, and routine testing) and subcontractors.
Conduct site testing, design/optimize remediation systems, evaluate viable remedial alternatives, and prepare detailed cost estimates.
Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques and procedures for engineering analysis
Compile and assess environmental data using spreadsheets, databases and GIS.
Assist in the preparation of accurate and professional technical reports and presentations.
Document research and review related to environmental impacts.
Provide exemplary skills and knowledge of health and safety practices and protocols.
Participation in team-based project work product resulting in client satisfaction and the on-time completion of quality technical work product.
Understand and implement Quality Assurance/ Quality Control procedures including critical reviews of work by junior staff members.
Prepare cost estimates, project schedules and project proposals for continuing investigation and remedial activities at various sites.
Maintain a valid driver’s license that is in good standing with Driver Performance Rating System.
Excellent communication skills including communication with the management staff as well as regulators and direct communication with clients.
Requirements
Education Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science or related discipline.
Experience Requirement:
5+ years
Software:
MS Office is required. AutoCAD, MS Project, and ArcGIS are a plus.
Certifications:
HAZWOPER experience is required. A valid HAZWOPER certification is a plus.
Driver’s License:
Must possess a valid driver’s license
