Senior Director - Systems Architect

Job Description
As Chief Systems Architect, you will lead and manage several strategic initiatives in the Visa Commercial Solutions group.
The architecture group in Visa Commercial Solutions oversees and provides strategic direction on several regional/market-specific and horizontal/cross-cutting initiatives. We ensure that the solutions are built is in alignment with the architecture and software target state of the platform.
As a Chief Systems Architect, you will provide strategic architecture leadership to complex projects for Commercial and Money Movement Solutions (CMS) and guide their delivery. You will work with multiple CMS and Visa architecture teams on horizontal, cross-cutting initiatives across multiple products. You will focus on building secure, robust, and scalable architectures, help the organization to innovate to deliver higher value to the customers
Essential Functions:
Play a key role in translating business requirements into efficient architecture.
Develop high level architecture for shared, portfolio-wide components and services.
Play a key role in the architectural governance process.
Develop architectural patterns, standards, and guidelines, ensure their adoption throughout the organization.
Drive security and privacy architecture across all product lines.
Optimize software development and release processes.
Work on improving developer experience and tools.
Optimize the use of existing Visa’s Platforms &
Solutions.
Evaluate and recommend open source and commercial technology solutions.
Mentor other architects and engineering leaders.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
