Position Summary
The Senior Director ofGift Officer Development will report to the Executive Director forStrategy and Operations. This role is responsible for gift officersuccess by designing, delivering, and overseeing a learning anddevelopment program for the fundraising team.

The work will include collaborating with several teams in UA andpartnering with the Executive Director for Strategy and Operationsto identify training needs based on skill gap analysis, develop,and build courses, and create individual learning plans fordevelopment officers.

The Senior Director will create and foster a culture ofcollaboration and teamwork that celebrates outcomes, buildsindividual and team capacity, and ensures that WashU UniversityAdvancement is a preferred workplace.

Job Description
Primary Duties&
Responsibilities

Develop and deliver a gift officer training program inpartnership with Advancement Learning and the Executive Directorfor Strategy and Operations;
this will include management of PlusDelta cohorts and tracking of all required sessions and completionrates.
Access gift officer learning and development needs. Providecoaching to gift officers when needed in partnership withmanagers.
Develop individual learning plans for gift officers.
Ensure all new gift officers are onboarded through the GiftOfficer Academy program.
Manage feedback and continuous improvement of internal trainingprograms.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Degree.
Experience working in advancement in a university setting.
Experience organizing training and designing curriculum.
Strong project management skills and ability to set and meetpersonal and team deadlines with the flexibility to managecompeting and changing priorities.
Confident and collaborative, with strong communication andinterpersonal skills, and must have the capacity to developproductive relationships at all levels, establish trust, andprovide thoughtful counsel.
Strong written communication skills.
Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, andaccuracy.
Ability to analyze, condense, and synthesize informationprovide accurate analysis and summaries.
Active manager and coach who can challenge a team toimprove.
High standards of performance and great attention todetail.
Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office andfamiliarity with databases.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.
Ten years of fundraising experience.
Five years of supervisory experience.
Four years of experience delivering training, designingcurriculum or coaching fundraising staff.
